Sweet Embrace

After a week that felt like a lifetime of turmoil and angst and fear and giving up, he walked in, pulled her close, kissed the very corner of her mouth and held her. A thick embrace filled with so many words they both didn’t know where to begin untangling. Sighs of “I missed you so” and “I’m so sorry” and “I never want to be without you”, “How I love you” perhaps? So they stood there; him holding her, her holding him and they felt it all instead.
