Eyes + Words

Written by Jacob Ibrag

As I left my parents home,

mother followedand called out my

name. Her voice dripped withworry as she

looked at me with those eyes only amother could

share for a child. She asked me how Iknew you were

the galaxy I forever wanted to floatwithin. How was it

possible that in just several weekstime, we were already

finishing each others thoughtsand sentences? I tried

to reply, and yet I couldn’tfindthe words. So all

I didwas smile. You aremuch more than an

explanation, and I hopeto never find

out why we make sense.
