I struggle to get through the average adult week and often feel inadequate as a result. I’m convinced this is why we often struggle with depression as adults. So I’ve put together a quick list of things that take the edge off the average work week.
Set Realistic Goals
Nothing feels better than ticking tasks off on a list of daily things to do. It gives a sense of accomplishment and progress.
Switch It Up!
I enjoy having flexibility in my work and personal life. Nothing puts me off more than the same old routine day in and day out. I envy people who can have this kind of lifestyle on a daily basis. So I try to foster it even in my set-in-stone routine, be it, changing what I do at the gym or trying something new in the kitchen.
No one ever tells you this but it’s ok to rest! Take a break and do something you love even though you have piles of work to do! Read a book or go see a movie in the middle of the week! You can even be wild and go to bed early! That time you take off does wonders to re-energise and reboost your motivation!
