Invigilation is a slow game of Pacman. There are, however, no winners;

Just teachers entrenched in those aisle

Picking up dropped pencils and adjusting facedown student cards- bored out of their minds

Knowing fully well that their only escape is a quiet classroom and a pile waiting for that red tick- Or red cross.

Students, stuck in their seats filling pages and pages with dates and sums and reasons in hopes that they will will be rewarded. Sometimes merely waiting for the declaration: “Pens down!”

Indeed, this game of Pacman holds us all hostage!

Keep Your Heart Big

Sometimes life throws  lemons at you – lemons so sour, no amount of sugar can take away the bite. Life is unfair and unjust. And so with each lemon, our hearts shrink all the more smaller and its surface grows all the more harder, because how else will we survive this dog eat dog world, but to harden our hearts to brace ourselves and protect us from getting hurt?

That’s why one should find things that inflate one’s heart; the things and the people that make your heart full, give you goosebumps and make you part of something bigger and more important; the things that lighten our hearts. Find these things and do as many of them as possible.
